Born in Northern Ireland pre rock'n'roll.
I studied physics at Manchester University, did a post-baccalaureate teaching certificate at Leeds University and then completed a PhD in biophysics at Keele University. I did a post-doc stint at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich before teaching
at the Science University of Malaysia; researching at Monash University, Australia; and teaching at the University of the South Pacific, Fiji and Oxford Brookes University. Not content
with all this traveling, I moved to Kuwait for what was supposed to be a 3-year stint, and stayed 12 years. And from there to Sunny California ..... where I'm trying to live a more laid-back
life-style .. but haven't succeeded so far .....
I've just completed writing a book on image processing; it's with the copy-editor now, and should be in the stores in the fall.
