Letter From the Editor in Chief:
I find the sea to be a great symbol of life’s ins and outs, highs and lows, successes and failures. With every whistling wave, there is hope of a new beginning, or a triumphant return. Since our University’s mascot is the dolphin, and since I am the daughter of a sea captain, I find it to be a great honor to help develop this journal much in the likeness and vast ness of the sea. As one would travel far and wide in search of deeper meaning or a new discovery, so is the timbre of this journal. Everyone involved has put a lot of dedicated hard work into making sure our inaugural issue is uniquely representative of what CSU Channel Islands has to offer. I truly believe that this publication is, and will continue to be, a true expression of the depth and wealth of our community, as well as a platform to build these talented students into thoughtful and successful human beings.
