Chair, Lake Ontario Ordnance Works Restoration Advisory Board, Lewiston, NY (2005).

Member and Chair, City of Niagara Falls Charter Review Commission. The commission successfully completed and placed on the ballot for the November election a new City Charter. In the electoral stage of this process I am served as the Chair of the Campaign Task Force and Chair of our Political Action Committee: A Whole Bunch of People for Charter Reform (2000-2002).

Member, Ad Hoc Committee on the County Manager. This group was created by the County Legislature to refine legislation creating a County Manager. I was appointed to this position by my former student who is now a County Legislator from the 14th District in Niagara County, Kyle Andrews (2002).

Member, County Manager Screening Committee. I have been appointed to the committee that will recommend candidates to the Niagara County Legislature (twice). I was appointed to this position by Majority Leader Sam Granieri (2002-2003).

I was cited for outstanding public service by the Niagara County Legislature for my work on creating the county manager position and searching for an appropriate candidate for the position (2002).

Member, Niagara County Environmental Management Commission, Lockport, NY (2000-2002).
